What we're up against

L'Etape du Tour is a cycling race that takes place every year on a rest day during The Tour de France. It's a day when mere mortals, 8,000 of them, get the privilege of retracing the skid marks of legendary riders of Le Tour. But how the hell is a rank amateur supposed to do it without the legs, lycra or legal performance enhancing substances? This is our attempt to cycle 187km over mountainous alpine roads without getting picked up by the ever looming broom wagon.
